When my mother was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia, I was terrified. I didn't know what to expect, and I was worried about how I would care for her. But I was determined to give her the best possible care, and I was prepared to do whatever it took.

The next few years were some of the most challenging of my life. My mother's symptoms gradually worsened, and she eventually lost her ability to walk, talk, and eat. I had to learn how to bathe her, dress her, and feed her. I also had to deal with her hallucinations and delusions.

It was a difficult time, but I also found it to be a time of great love and growth. I learned a lot about myself and my mother during those years. I learned that I was stronger than I thought I was, and that I was capable of giving my mother the care she needed. I also learned that Lewy body dementia is a cruel disease, but it doesn't have to define the person who has it.

My mother passed away in 2016, but I will never forget her. She was a strong and courageous woman, and she taught me so much about life. I am grateful for the time we had together, and I am proud to have been her caregiver.

I wrote this book to share my story with others who are caring for loved ones with Lewy body dementia. I hope that my story will provide you with hope and support, and that it will help you to navigate the challenges of caregiving.
